Metro Detroit weather: Plenty of rainfall expected rest of week

Rain hits Metro Detroit next 3 days

DETROIT – Flood watches are up just to our southwest, and we may be included in that club by Thursday morning.

Our one day of goodness is fading quickly, and there's plenty of rain ready to chase it out. On Wednesday night, expect to stay dry until we get closer to daybreak. Rain will start arriving in our South Zone about that time.

Overnight lows will be on either side of 40 degrees with light winds.

Thursday looks like a washout with rain falling pretty much the entire day. Temperatures won't make it out of the 40s and breezes will pick up as well.

Expect more rain Friday and Saturday. Totals for the three-day stretch will range from 1 to 3 inches. Lowest totals will be in our West Zone, with highest totals on the east side.

We’ll finally dry out completely by Sunday. High temperatures will creep back to the mid-50s, but we won’t hit normal numbers until Tuesday of next week. Check out our 10-day Forecast for details.
