Summer-like weather continues Wednesday night, Thursday
Lows near 70 degrees
DETROIT – Temperatures soared to near 90 degrees Thursday afternoon. It remains warm and muggy overnight. Then a cold front brings lower temps after some showers and storms.

Wednesday evening will be very warm with temps remaining in the 80s at Comerica Park. The Detroit Tigers host the Baltimore Orioles. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET. Remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and healthy during the game.
Wednesday night will be partly cloudy, warm and muggy. Overnight lows will be near average highs; close to 70 degrees. Excellent night for home owners to test their air conditioners and make sure they're ready for the summer.
Thursday will be hot and humid, again. Highs return to the middle and upper 80s. A cold front brings a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. There is a "Marginal Risk" of strong to severe storms between 4pm and 10pm anywhere in the Detroit area. A bit higher "Slight Risk" of gusty, damaging wind, heavy downpours and frequent lightning is possilbe south of I-94, in the region's South Zone.
After the cold front, Friday and Saturday will feel more like May. Actually, it will be 5 to 10 degrees cooler than average Friday with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 60s. Saturday will be near 70 degrees with more sunshine.
Sunday will be near 80 degrees with another chance of showers and storms.
Monday morning will have lingering showers, then afternoon temps will be in the upper 60s. Highs will be near 70 degrees next Tuesday.
