Temps in the 50s, then 40s

What a difference a cold front makes!

Friday evening remains much cooler and less windy than yesterday. Temps stuck in the 40s and 50s with a chance of showers. Heavier rain expected this weekend.

Scattered light to moderate rain will cruise through Detroit and Southeast Michigan Friday evening, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. ET, moving from west to east. Drivers must be careful on any wet roads.

No wash-out, but be prepared with a poncho if you're going to the Detroit Tigers' game against the Texas Rangers. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. ET. Wind will be lighter from the northeast at 6 to 14 mph.

Friday night will be drier by midnight and afterward. It gets chillier with temps in the 40s overnight. Remember your jackets to stay warm if you have any nighttime plans.

Saturday is another day of the Michigan Humane Society's Meet Your Best Friend At The Zoo at the Detroit Zoo. The morning will be mostly cloudy and dry with temps in the 40s and low 50s. Midday showers are possible in Royal Oak and much of Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

Afternoon highs will be in the upper 50s.

Sunday has a better chance of rain with a warm front and area of low pressure. Rain will be heavy at times with thunderstorms possible. It will be warmer with highs in the middle to upper 70s.

Dry weather and sunshine arrives Monday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s.

Tuesday is another NOAA Weather Radio Day at the Meijer in Warren. Look forward to seeing you there! Grab your umbrellas, again. Showers return with 50s in the morning and 60s in the afternoon.

A chance of showers and storms exists Wednesday with highs near 60 degrees.
