Metro Detroit weather: Cool start with some morning showers
DETROIT – A few early morning showers raced through as the streets dry up and temps cool down into the upper 40s and low 50s around Metro Detroit. Today will be a lot like yesterday with a few more clouds.
We will see partly sunny skies and highs in the low to maybe mid 70s and winds SW 10-20 mph gusting close to 30 mph at times. Shower chances will be very isolated and light later this afternoon and evening but most of us won’t get a whole lot of wet weather Wednesday.
Thursday will be high and dry with highs trying to get back mid 70s or warmer under mostly sunny skies and lighter winds.
We should see sunshine most of the day as skies fill with a little cloud cover during the heat of the mid to late afternoon. Winds are WSW 5-12 mph making this an ideal Spring Day and a great way to welcome June.
There is still a bit of uncertainty about rain chances as we head into the weekend around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario. Looks like Friday will be mostly dry with sunny skies filling with afternoon clouds. There’s a chance for a few scattered showers in the mid to late afternoon as highs hit the mid to upper 70s.
Looks like a more impressive chance for showers late Saturday into Sunday with weekend temps in the mid 70s. Showers will likely increase into early next week as Monday and Tuesday look quite wet according to morning model data. Stay ahead of Spring Storms with our Local4Casters app.
