Picture perfect start to June across SE Michigan

A picture perfect day ahead here in Metro Detroit starting with cooler temperatures as you head out, mainly in the upper 40s and low 50s. Sunshine will be shining upon us all across SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario today with areas closer to Lake Huron getting a bit of cloud cover. High temps will settle in the mid 70s and the wind will be much lighter WNW 5-12 mph. There may be a few showers across Northern Lower later today and it we will see some isolated, light showers in the Thumb Region tonight.

Friday’s forecast is looking better and better with one exception in our North Zone. Highs tomorrow in the mid to upper 70s under a nice mix of sun and clouds and calm winds. There may be a few showers cruising through areas north of M 59 through the afternoon and early evening but most of s will be dry tomorrow.

The weekend is becoming a bit clearer but there is still some uncertainty about rain chances. Saturday will be mostly dry with highs again in the mid to upper 70s. A warm front moving in late in the day does bring rain and thunder chances by early evening through the night.  Right now, it looks like showers will hang on through the first half of Sunday and then settle down a bit allowing for a bit of afternoon sun, breezy conditions and highs that should head into the low 80s.

We may see a few showers midday Monday with temps falling down a bit into the low 70s. But, most of the afternoon will be dry as next week looks to be mostly dry and warming nicely. Stay ahead of Spring Storms with our Local4Casters app.
