Beautiful Wednesday sunshine across SE Michigan

Morning clouds are thinning and moving out with temps in the upper 40s to low 50s and dry conditions as you head out on your Hump Day.

Beautiful Wednesday sunshine will help most of Metro Detroit bounce back into the 70s today, although our North Zone may get stuck in the 60s as the cooler winds NE 7-15 mph will gust over 20 mph at times. All in all, a very pleasant day here in SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario.

We begin turning up the heat a little on Thursday, building big time as we head through the weekend. Tomorrow all of us will be back into the mid to maybe upper 70s under mostly sunny skies and lighter winds. If you’re a fan of the hot weather or not, Thursday will be the pick day of the week. We will be in the upper 70s Friday with a chance for scattered afternoon rain and thundershowers.

Here comes the heat this weekend as humidity and warm winds will be on the rise too. Look for highs in the mid 80s by Saturday under mostly sunny skies. Sunday and Monday will easily put Metro Detroit in the neighborhood of 90 degrees. Right now, there are no storms expected on those warm and muggy days.  You can track radar and when we expected more rain with our Local4Casters app.
