DETROIT – Metro Detroit got stuck under the clouds all day Monday, which kept temperatures cool. The sunshine will come back Tuesday and put us in the 80s all week.
Clouds will be moving out Monday night, so expect mainly clear skies for the majority of the night. Lows will be below normal, between 50 and 58 degrees by daybreak. See which spots will be close to the 40s in our 4ZONE Forecast.
Mostly sunny skies on Tuesday will get us to 80 in the afternoon. Humidity levels will stay low, too. Winds will be light.
A few extra clouds will be with us on Wednesday. Humidity will be back to noticeable (maybe muggy levels) by the afternoon. We’ll stay dry throughout the day, but watch for thunderstorms late and closer to daybreak on Thursday morning. Wednesday highs will reach the mid-80s with heat index readings close to 90.
Another shot at thunderstorms will arrive during the afternoon on Thursday, but that’s it. Beyond that, expect tons of sunshine, lower humidity and seasonable temperatures through the start of next week.
