It is yet another very pleasant start with morning lows in the upper 50s to mid 60s as you head out on a Monday and grab the shades.
We will see plenty of sunshine across Metro Detroit with highs heading easily into the mid 80s if not a little warmer, but the humidity stays in the manageable range. Afternoon clouds will form with the heat of the day and rain chances are going to be very limited in areas north of Detroit from the Saginaw Valley to parts of our North Zone. Again, these showers will be isolated but still possible later this afternoon and/or early evening. Winds today are nice and light WNW 5-10 mph.
Tomorrow will be similar to Monday, but the humidity is slowly going up this week leading to decent rain chances later in the week. A nice mix of sun and clouds and mid 80s feeling a little warmer with dew points up. And, rain and thundershower chances with the heat of the afternoon are again expected to be widely scattered in our North Zone.
Wednesday will be transition day as the humidity keeps climbing and the warm and muggy air will be stirring creating a few more shower chances. Most of your Hump Day will be dry as highs hit mid 80s, but spotty rain and thunder chances arise by mid afternoon across all of Metro Detroit. It looks like a much better chance for a much needed drenching on Thursday and Friday ahead. A cool front will be approaching later this week and more abundant moisture will pour into the region increasing our chances for showers and even a stronger storm or two on Thursday… stay tuned.
