Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Lapeer County until 7:45 p.m.
Scattered storms expected
MONROE COUNTY, Mich. – A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Lapeer County until 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, the National Weather Service announced.
Here's the latest update from Ben Bailey:
The 4 Live Radar is tracking a line of thunderstorms slicing across the heart of our region. These won't be severe, but they're packing frequent lightning and some isolated downpours.
Storms should be gone around sunset. Lows will drop to the mid-60s under mostly cloudy skies and light winds.
Storms will return in the afternoon Thursday. The storms might get to severe limits. It's more likely we'll see those strong storms in our West and South Zones, but everyone should be alert.
Highs will reach the low 80s. It will be muggy, too. Most storms will end in the late evening, but we might not be completely dry overnight.
