A refreshing and cooler start this Thursday morning with temps in the 40s and low to mid 50s under partly cloudy skies as you head out. Temps will struggle to hit 70 degrees later with waves of lake effect clouds coming and going, but no rain today. Winds NW 7-12 mph will gust a bit stronger but no big wind concerns today either. Enjoy a peaceful, fall-like Thursday around Metro Detroit with highs in the upper 60s under a mix of sun and clouds.
Rain and isolated thundershowers arrive Friday morning with temps in the low 50s and the potential for a slow morning commute. Showers will likely start around 3 or 4am and will exit the area just after lunch. Showers are only scattered during that mainly morning timeframe, meaning it won’t be a non-stop soaker of a Friday morning, but much needed rain is welcome. We’ll see skies quickly go from mostly cloudy to mostly sunny tomorrow afternoon with highs in the upper 60s and winds WSW 5-15 mph gusting over 20 mph.
