Cool and still a little wet early on your Wednesday, so grab the umbrella and the jacket as you head out into temps in the upper 30s to low 40s.The wet weather won’t last all day as morning clouds and scattered, light showers diminish by lunchtime and we see a few gaps in the clouds or hints of some sun by mid afternoon. Highs in the upper 40s to low 50s with breezes WSW 5-15 mph. Get ready for a cold one tonight!
Thursday morning lows will be near freezing early tomorrow in many of our suburbs with mid-30s closer to Downtown Detroit. Clear skies tomorrow will help temps a little, but it will be another day falling below average. Look for mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 50s with mostly calm winds SW turning SE 5-10 mph.
Friday starts dry and somewhat clear with lows closer to 40 degrees again. Clouds will thicken and increase into the afternoon and the timing of the cloud coverage will be a big factor for our highs. If we keep partly sunny skies around through 2 or 3 p.m., we should see Friday highs around 60 degrees. Rain showers will be moving in but it should be sometime just after sunset or 7-8 p.m.
Shower chances linger into the first half of Saturday, which means it should be mostly dry for the big game at the Big House in Ann Arbor. We cannot rule out an isolated shower, and mostly cloudy skies. Again, don’t worry about rain beyond tailgating as highs linger in the low 50s. Sunday will be cool and mostly cloudy still with temps around 50 degrees. Model data is mixed between shower chances, so we may see a few but it would be minimal. Plan for a mostly dry Sunday with upper 40s to low 50s. The Halloween forecast is also unclear with one model keeping things cool on Monday and Tuesday, with a wintry mix possible in spots Monday, and a few cool showers possible Tuesday. We’ll keep you posted as we get more and more clear data. Track sky conditions and our next rain chances with our Local4Casters app.
