Metro Detroit weather: Warmer, cloudy forecast to end week

Temperatures reach 60s this week

DETROIT – We've got warmer temperatures ahead of us, but they ain't comin' with sunshine.

Rain will be moving in from the southwest Wednesday night. Rainfall amounts will range between a half-inch and three-quarters of an inch in most spots. The widespread rain will be tapering by dawn. We'll set our lows Wednesday evening with temperatures warming toward 50 degrees by daybreak.

Thursday will be cloudy and damp. It's tough to rule out a bit of light rain during the day, but the next big push of water will arrive in the evening. Highs will reach the low 60s.

The sun will make its last noticeable appearance for the week Friday, but colder air is coming with it. Look for an early high in the low 50s, with temperatures falling through the day.

Rain will be back for the weekend, late Saturday and during the day on Sunday. But a thunderstorm won’t be out of the question on Sunday night. Highs will stay in the 50s Saturday and warm to the mid-60s Sunday, which will be 10 degrees above normal and our warmest number of the forecast.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back before you head to bed Saturday night. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday.
