Metro Detroit weather forecast: Windy chilly start across SE Michigan

DETROIT – A wind chilly start with most of Metro Detroit waking up to temps in the upper 20s to low 30s feeling a little cooler under some cloud cover to start your Monday.

Skies will be clearing and the sun will help warm us all into the mid or even upper 40s today. The breezes will be increasing through the morning becoming SW 8-18 mph gusting to 25 mph at times again making it feel a bit cooler out there.

Tuesday will be very similar to today with some sun and pesky breezes and just a bit warmer. The morning temps start warmer in the mid to upper 30s under mostly clear skies. Highs will race to near 50 degrees by mid afternoon with winds again SW 10-20 mph gusting a bit stronger at times. A cold front will be approaching late in the day and there is a chance for rain showers in the late afternoon or early evening. This may slow down the Tuesday evening commute, and it may switch to light snow in the evening hours. Don’t worry about any accumulating snow.

Cooler numbers pour in for the mid and end of the week around Southeastern Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario. We will get the sun back Wednesday, but highs will hang in the upper 30s through the afternoon. Thanksgiving Day right now looks dry, but we’ll need a couple of layers for America’s Thanksgiving Parade waking up Thursday in the upper 20s to low 30s.  It looks like a dry Turkey Day here with highs in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees. Black Friday shoppers start cool in the 20s to low 30s, and then warming back into the mid 40s.

We may get a few rain showers Friday evening. Track sky conditions and our next rain and snow chances with our Local4Casters app.
