Metro Detroit weather: Cold front, snow chance on the way, followed by warm-up

DETROIT – Cold and breezy the rest of your Wednesday with Metro Detroit temps in the low 20s and snow showers slowly moving in.

The winds WSW 10-20 mph keep wind chills in the single digits and the snow showers will be more numerous in our North Zone.

A cold front slides through tonight bringing one last snow chance which will be more widespread across SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario. You can expect a coating to an inch as those snow showers blossom around 10pm.

Thursday

So, Thursday morning may be a little slick on the sidewalks and streets, but the general trend will be for clearing and warming. Morning lows in the teens to highs near 30 degrees with lighter winds WNW 5-10 mph.

Friday

A big snow maker dodges us to the south Friday morning but we will get some clouds during the morning from that. Then, sun and clouds with highs in the upper 30s.

Saturday and Sunday

Saturday looks great with sun and clouds and mid 40s.

Sunday is a big day because we have a shot at 50 degrees, but it comes with a price. You can expect an early morning wintry mix switching to rain for the morning and early afternoon. Then, windy and cloudy with cooler air sliding back in Sunday night into Monday.
