DETROIT – Welcome to Sunday night, Motown!
Nighttime clouds will produce precipitation. Fortunately it remains above freezing. Still a bit wet Monday before becoming much colder by the end of this week.
Sunday night will be cloudy with a new low pressure system arriving. The Detroit area will be on the weaker end of the system and a southerly wind will keep temps above freezing overnight. So, scattered light rain and sprinkles will form with overnight lows near 40 degrees. There’s a better chance of wet roadways than icy ones.
The rest of Monday will be wet but not as chilly. Highs will be near 50°F. This be the highest temperature of the week.
Partly sunny skies return, Tuesday. Daytime temps will be near 45°F.
Wednesday will have a chance of rain and snow showers, again. Highs will be in the low 40s.
Behind a cold front, temperatures take a nosedive the rest of the week. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, highs will only be in the low to upper 30s. Nighttime lows will be in the 20s.
