Amazing: Michiganders capture beauty of November snow
DETROIT – Winter won’t officially begin until Saturday, Dec. 21, but don’t tell that to Michigan residents.
On Monday, Nov. 11, some areas of Metro Detroit received up to 11 inches of snow. It’s not something we usually expect in early or mid November, but it can happen when the conditions are right.
Now we’re bracing for freezing temperatures to follow the snow. And so here we area: We skipped part of fall and went head-first into winter.
In true Michigander spirit, people have been out and about in the snow -- tredging through the slippery roads, clearing their neighbor’s sidewalks and driveways, and taking a moment to capture the beauty and share it on StormPins.
