Chances arrive later Saturday

DETROIT – There are some rain chances this weekend in Metro Detroit, but they’ve been adjusted a bit, as the speed of this frontal boundary that moves in is showing signs of uncertainty.

Chances start later Saturday in the evening, but are not great. Most of us will probably be dry Saturday evening.

A few showers are possible during the overnight period into early Sunday morning.

With the boundary still nearby, a few showers look possible Sunday afternoon and evening, with the best chances being in the south zone and east of I-75.

The latest data suggests the front may stall out for a bit Sunday before pushing south Monday and Tuesday, and as a result, rain chances are on the rise a bit for Sunday.

Along with rain chances, the heat and humidity are ticking up, as well. Highs Saturday will be in the upper 80s, but it will feel more like the lower 90s.

The sun will set at 8 p.m. Monday (Sept. 5). It continues to set earlier and earlier through early to mid- December. As of Monday, we’ll have under 13 hours of daylight.
