DETROIT - No joke for Detroit and Southeast Michigan Monday. Colder air returns with morning lows in the 20s. Old Man Winter helps with a few snow showers before and after lunchtime and afternoon highs only in the upper 30s. It will be breezy with a northwest wind 10 to 20 mph.

Monday night will mostly cloudy and cold with lows in the low 20s.

Tuesday will be partly sunny and chilly, again, with highs near 40.

Wednesday and the rest of the week will not be as cold with a sunnier sky. It will be mostly sunny with daytime temps near 45 Wednesday. Thursday will be in the upper 40s.

The Detroit Tigers' Home Opener will be perfect for baseball. Tailgaters will need their coats with the morning temps in the 30s and 40s. Fans will need their favorite Tigers jacket, hat and sunglasses.  It will be mostly sunny and cool during the game with temps in the low 50s and a light southwest wind.
