Chance of rain in Mother's Day forecast

Chill sticks around for another day

DETROIT - Happy Mother's Day!  It's going to be a cool Sunday with a few snow showers possible for some of our northern counties.

Radar is showing snow across Northern Lower Michigan, so we will watch the pattern as it progresses through the morning. Temperatures will struggle to hit 50 degrees and you will feel the wind while you're outside.

Winds will be WNW 15-25 mph at times keeping wind chills through the day in the upper 30s and low 40s. We may see a few very light rain showers in the afternoon so a good day to bundle up with mom. Rain will not be a major focus of the forecast today.

We have a Freeze Warning for the entire area for Monday morning as temps will dip into the upper 20s to low 30s which will threaten sensitive plants and vegetation. So keep those flowers and plants covered or in the garage. With a mix of clouds and some sun, it will be another cooler day in the upper 50s.
