DETROIT - Detroit area drivers will need to keep their car heaters in shape Friday morning. Temps will be in the upper and middle teens with wind chills in the single numbers. Basketball fans will need to wear their winter gear walking around The Palace before and after their NCAA Tournament games. The afternoon will be partly sunny with highs in the middle and upper 30s.

Friday night will be cold with lows near 25. Residents will need to be careful with space heaters.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny, and this will help temps get closer to 40 degrees or slightly more during the day.

When the next work-week rolls around, another round of snow rolls in with temps backing down to the 30s. Snow showers are possible Sunday night and Monday with some accumulation. At least a few inches are in the forecast, for now, but this may change.
