Chilly Tuesday with loads of sun

Temps still below average

DETROIT - Tuesday morning will be cold but dry with lows in the middle and low 20s.

Wind chills will be in the teens. Some will be in the single digits for early risers. 

Afternoon highs will be near 40 degrees, which is more than 10 degrees below average. A northwest wind will blow at 9 to 18 mph.

Tuesday night will be below freezing again with lows in the 20s.

Wednesday and the rest of the week will have higher daytime temps. Hump Day will make it to 45 degrees. Thursday will be milder, near 55. A weak front will drop temps slightly for the Detroit Tigers' home opener with highs near 50 during the game.
