Cloudy, cool Tuesday on tap for metro Detroit

Highs will eventually hit low 70s

DETROIT – Cloudy skies and north winds are keeping our air on the cooler side this Tuesday.

Highs around Detroit will be in the low 70s and if we get even partly sunny skies for a couple of hours, we may see some mid to upper 70s.

Right now though, it doesn't look promising for a ton of sun. But it will be dry compared to Monday with only a slight chance for a light shower.

Wednesday is the beginning of a slow warm up with highs getting into the mid 70s to near 80 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. And yes, there is a chance for a few afternoon showers but they will be very light and more of a miss than a hit so it's a mostly dry day.

Thursday will be a bit more muggy with highs in the 80 degree range. And, on this Independence Day we may see a few scattered storms in the afternoon during the peak heating of the day. Have a backup plan for your BBQ but keep an eye on 4Live Radar because not everyone will get wet on Thursday.

It should be a better pool and lake day as temps and humidity are on the way up.

The weekend ahead looks outstanding. We will be dry Friday, Saturday, and most of Sunday with highs climbing back into the mid 80s!
