Crisp temperatures and fog to start Thursday

Highs will reach near 70

By Brandon Roux - Meteorologist, Segment Reporter/Producer

DETROIT - Crisp and mostly clear to start your Thursday other than some patchy fog. Lows once again will hang in the upper 30s to mid 40s early this morning with pockets of thick fog that could make things tricky in spots.

Port Huron, Ann Arbor, Howell and the usual spots will see the low clouds a bit longer this morning. But most of us will see sunshine through the morning and afternoon. Highs today will once again be near 70 degrees with light winds SE 5-10 mph.

More morning fog is likely tomorrow. Friday's temps will be familiar with lows in the mid 40s and highs at or just above 70 degrees. Even Saturday appears to be following suit as far as beautiful fall sun and comfortable temps. We may see a few more clouds to start the weekend with Saturday in the low 70s and Sunday in the upper 60s. Sunday is cooler following a weak cold front that may bring a few morning showers before clearing the area.

Our best chance for steady, widespread rain will be Tuesday evening into early Wednesday. Track the steady warm up, radar, and your weekend forecasts on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
