Detroit Ford Fireworks weather forecast: Dry and cool

DETROITGood Monday morning! Temperatures are on the cooler side as you head out and if you’re planning for the whole day, grab a sweatshirt and an umbrella.

We’ll start with some sunshine and temps in the low and mid 50s as you head out. Expect a nice mix of sun and clouds through the morning, and then the rain chances return midday with some gusty winds.

Our North Zone, along and north of M 59, will once again see the greater chances for rain and isolated thundershowers this afternoon and evening. Most of us will see very scattered showers which will produce some decent downpours and again ... limited thunder. Highs will stay put near 70 degrees around most of Metro Detroit with cooler 50s and low 60s up north.

Ford Fireworks tonight

The Ford Fireworks tonight should be dry and cool with improving sky conditions toward sunset. Temperatures will be falling from the low and mid 60s near sunset, perhaps into the upper 50s by the time the fireworks end around 10:30 p.m. A sweatshirt is a great idea especially for the kiddos.

Tuesday forecast

Tuesday will be a nice day but definitely feeling more like Spring than Summer. We’ll see highs in the upper 60s to low 70s and a few isolated showers over the east side and into Southern Ontario. Most of us will see no rain and partly cloudy skies. The winds will die down too WSW 5-15 mph.

The pick day of the week will be Wednesday with sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to near 80 degrees with lighter winds SSW 5-15 mph. Then we will see warmer and stormy weather move in toward the end of the week. There are scattered rain and thundershowers in the forecast Thursday, Friday, and possible Saturday as temps climb into the low 80s ... stay tuned. You can track radar and stay ahead of the showers and storms with our Local4Casters app.
