Easter starts with scattered showers, cold on the way

Possible flurries Sunday

By Paul Gross - Meteorologist

DETROIT - Easter morning will start with some scattered Spring showers.

The scattered showers should end around lunchtime, with a short period of partly cloudy skies developing Sunday afternoon.  It's going to become windy, but still be mild with highs in the low to mid 50s.  A stronger cold front than the one crossing the area Sunday morning will blast through Sunday night.  There could be a flurry or light snow shower, but the biggest impact from this front will be sharply falling temperatures, which should drop into the upper 20s by Monday morning.

Monday and Tuesday will be cold, blustery days with highs only in the 30s (wind chills in the 20s), but temperatures the rest of the week will slowly moderate.
