Fabulous Friday across Metro Detroit

It’s another cool start with low 40s closer to downtown Detroit, and some 30s in the suburbs early on your Friday. It will warm very quickly today with more and more sunshine and very dry air overhead and highs are heading into the low 70s or warmer. The winds are light S 5-10 mph and won’t be a factor today or at any time heading into your weekend. Temps fall back down through the 60s this evening for your football games or any plans you have tonight.

Rain will arrive late Sunday, possibly not until early Monday, so expect another sunny and warm day Sunday. Highs in the mid 70s with a few neighborhoods closer to 80 degrees both Saturday and Sunday around SE Lower Michigan. New morning model data suggests the rain ahead of a cold front will hold off until close to midnight. Showers may move in a bit sooner than that, but well after sunset none the less.

Cooler air with showers early Monday, and then some afternoon clearing as we await cooler air. Temps will be mainly in the 60s Monday with partly sunny skies after morning showers, and a bit breezy with the passage of the cold front.
