Fall-like morning in the 40s and 50s in SE Michigan

By Brandon Roux - Meteorologist, Segment Reporter/Producer

Consider this a gift from Mother Nature that we are waking up with temps in the upper 40s to mid 50s under mostly clear skies.

We’ll get a few waves of clouds this morning, and like yesterday, more clouds develop into the afternoon. Highs will likely only hit the upper 60s In our North Zone to low 70s max for the rest of us. We may see a few sprinkles and/or light showers and these will be most likely again in our North Zone after 2 or 3pm. Don’t go canceling any plans because most of Metro Detroit will likely not see a drop.

Pleasantly cooler weather will be with us again tomorrow although more and more sun helps warm temps a little day by day moving into the weekend. Most of SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario can expect temps starting in the 40s and 50s and warming into the low to mid 70s keeping us all just below normal or average.

The weekend should be bone dry with both humidity and rain chances. Instead, bright skies and slightly warmer with highs getting into the mid 70s Saturday and upper 70s to near 80 degrees Sunday. Our next decent chance for showers comes late, late Monday into Tuesday of next week. This may be a bit of tropical moisture moving out of the Gulf of Mexico which will be active over the next several days.
