Flood watch expires in SE Michigan

DETROIT – Happy Cinco De Mayo!

It’s going to be another tough day although Metro Detroit will not have all day rain. The Flood Watch expired around 3:30 p.m.

Otherwise, spotty light showers, cool, and breezy as temperatures will again stay in the 40s most of the day with a shot at 50 degrees. Those winds N 10-25 mph may gust over 30 mph at times with a wet and raw feel today.

Saturday brings a slight change in that we will see some sunshine coming and going. Yet, more showers will be also be very possible into the late morning and afternoon. Highs with some sun may get into the low 50s tomorrow and the breezes continue NW 10-20 mph. We will see some clearing Saturday night into Sunday and temps will fall into the mid and upper 30s early Sunday.

Sunday and Monday mornings may have morning lows cool enough to threaten some sensitive vegetation and the early growing season, so stay tuned. Otherwise, sunny Sunday with highs in the mid 50s and still breezy NW 10-17 mph keeping the cool feel around. More sun Monday and Tuesday as highs try to take off into the 60s and rain returns by the end of next week.
