Foggy start with temps in the 50s in SE Michigan

DETROIT – Patchy fog this Tuesday morning around Metro Detroit and temps mainly in the low and mid 50s as you head out and about.

The low clouds and fog will stick around through the mid morning, and then only partly sunny skies through the midday and afternoon as highs get stuck in the upper 60s to low 70s. Cooler breezes NE 5-15 mph will keep those on the eastside or close to the big lakes primarily in the 60s this afternoon with slightly warmer temps inland.

Rain showers will be moving into Central Michigan this evening and then from the Saginaw Valley into SE Lower Michigan late tonight and overnight.

Wednesday forecast

Moderate rain showers will slow you down early Wednesday making the morning drive a mess… just a heads up to plan a little extra time tomorrow. Temps will be in the 50s early and only warm into the low and mid 60s with showers starting to wrap up or move east after lunch. We may get into a little bit of sunshine late in the day but it will still be mostly cloudy and breezy after the showers shut off.

Thursday forecast

We will see more clouds than sun Thursday and that will keep our temps down a little as we wake up to upper 40s and low 50s. Afternoon highs Thursday will stay in the mid and upper 60s with partly sunny skies.

Friday should be another warm one with mostly sunny skies and highs back in the low and mid 70s.

Saturday will be warm as well into the 70s with a shot at showers now late in the day. Enjoy a mix of sun and clouds and warm conditions through the day and rain and thundershowers through the evening. We will likely see rain and thundershowers around for the Marathon downtown Detroit on Sunday as well -- stay tuned!
