Bundle up these first couple weekdays

DETROIT - It's another bone chilling start to the work and school week with wind chills -5 to -15 degrees with partly cloudy skies.

A huge storm along the Ohio River south of us is spreading some cloud cover north this morning.

In general, we expect mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies today as highs only climb into the mid teens. Wind chills will be subzero all morning and into part of the afternoon although winds will be light N 5-10 mph.

Lows overnight will dip down into the low single digits as clouds overspread the area.

A fast moving snow maker will move through in the morning but it will not be a lot of snow and some of us will see very little wet weather.

The snow target is north of Detroit, along and north of 12 Mile dropping ½ inch to maybe an inch in some of our northern counties.

A few hit and miss snow showers through the day as highs climb into the low 20s.

We may see a bit of light snow early Wednesday as we begin to break out of the deep freeze. Highs should reach the upper 20s to near 30 degrees depending on any sunshine as we expect mostly cloudy skies.

We may see temps near 40 degrees by Friday but it is just a brief warm up. You can get a look at the radar and your 7 Day outlook on the weather page of and by following the links below.
