Hot and humid day for Metro Detroit Tuesday

Dry conditions for most of the day, possible showers later

DETROIT - We are waking up once again to hazy and foggy conditions around Metro Detroit which is the only problem we see this morning.

Don't expect thick walls of fog, rather just patchy fog that you will drive through from time to time especially in the suburbs.

We will be dry for most of the day but the heat and humidity will be turning up a notch this afternoon with highs in the mid to upper 80s and WSW winds 7-11 mph.

We may see a few isolated showers with the heat of the afternoon but they will be widely scattered and most of us will be dry all day.

There is a storm line headed our way but it looks like it will be bring wet weather overnight into Wednesday.

The Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk for severe weather today, but again that is more for the late night and overnight potential.

Early morning showers and storms Wednesday will be followed by one last humid day in this stretch of muggy weather. Highs will be back in the upper 80s but the pattern will start to change through the late afternoon.

A stretch of beautiful summer weather starts Thursday and will last for you all weekend. Highs will be in the 75-80 degree range Thursday and Friday with plenty of sunshine minus the humidity.

It will likely be a little warmer this weekend with highs in the low 80s but not as hot, hazy, and humid as we've seen the last couple of weeks.
