Metro Detroit weather forecast: Hot, humid Thursday

Feels like 90s

DETROIT – Patchy fog this around Metro Detroit on this Thursday morning with very mild temps in the mid 60s as you head out and about. It’s going to be a very warm day as highs should easily hit the mid 80s as many will be near 90 degrees for the next several afternoons.

The humidity is up today too feeling closer to 90 degrees this afternoon with a mix of hazy sun and clouds. A cold front will be slowly sliding through this afternoon bringing a good chance for scattered rain and thundershowers. These thundershowers will begin to move through Mid Michigan in the early afternoon as our timing is dependent upon the timing of the cold front. So, we should be ready for spotty showers after 2 p.m. through sunset.

Friday forecast

A few lingering showers early Friday and more patchy morning fog tomorrow. But, most of the afternoon will be warming with improving sky conditions. It’s another ‘shorts’ day for the kids at school with highs tomorrow in the mid and upper 80s with skies going from mostly cloudy early to mostly sunny through the afternoon.

Weekend forecast

The weekend should be warm and bone dry. Low temperatures will be in the upper 50s to low 60s as highs maintain the summer-like feel in the mid 80s or warmer. Tons of sunshine will allow for a great weekend on the boat or at your pool if you still have them open. No great chance for rain again until Wednesday of next week.
