Light rain showers could pass through as warm front develops

Transition from snow to rain later in the morning

DETROIT - Keep the umbrellas handy for the next couple of hours. We have flipped the switch with warmer air which is leading to scattered rain showers here in SE Michigan through about 2pm today. Highs will eventually climb into the low 40s with cloudy skies and light winds. As a warm front approaches, we cannot rule out a few isolated afternoon and evening showers but most of us will stay mostly dry most of the afternoon.

A warm front will be moving through our area Wednesday with highs into the low 50s tomorrow. We will likely see highs near 50-55 degrees and that warm front will bring a some rain showers on Wednesday late morning or afternoon. But, it's only a little bit of rain, not an all-day soaker. Winds on a warmer Wednesday will be South 5-15 mph.
