Light snow showers to move across SE Michigan

Some areas will see a coating to a half inch of snow

By Brandon Roux - Meteorologist, Segment Reporter/Producer

Light snow showers will move quickly across SE Michigan Sunday morning with some areas seeing a coating to a half inch through late morning.

The light snow poses a nuisance issue for travelers driving north of Detroit. Depending on the track of this snow maker, areas south of I-94 will see very little action. By noon, skies will begin to break up and temps will try to climb to near 40 degrees although we'll probably fall just shy of that mark. Also, expect breezes from the SW 8-16 mph with a few stronger gusts.

Monday and Tuesday look dry with partly sunny skies and cool temperatures in the upper 30s. There is a rain/snow maker that will likely pass just south of us Tuesday and we will let you know if the path changes and it turns towards SE Michigan.
