Lingering clouds Wednesday, still chilly

Chill remains Wednesday, seasonable temps later

DETROIT – High pressure protected Motown from the "Monster Storm" that wreaked snowy havoc in Minneapolis, Chicago and the Ohio Valley. 

Washington, DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia will feel the brunt of the storm Wednesday.

Snow moved completely around Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

Morning roads will be dry with cold and brisk conditions.

Lows will be in the 20s.

Wednesday afternoon will be mostly gray with below-average highs.

Temps will be in the middle and upper 30s with a stiff northerly wind.

Wednesday night will have some clearing with lows near 20.

Thursday and Friday will be sunnier with temps closer to normal highs.

Afternoon temps will be in near 40 and in the low 40s with partly to mostly sunny skies.

Remember to Spring Forward one hour this weekend for Daylight Saving Time. 

Also, residents should change the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
