DETROIT - December is arriving in the dreariest possible way. Clouds, sprinkles and a noticeable cold wind will carry us through the evening. Temperatures will drop to the mid- and upper 30s. Any moisture will dry up before midnight.
Friday will be mostly cloudy and breezy. Highs will barely get to 40 in our Metro Zone and stay in the 30s in most locations. With a 10-20 mph wind, wind chills will be near 30 in the afternoon.
The weekend will start dry, but it won't finish that way. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with highs near 40.
Sunday will be slightly cooler with highs in the upper 30s. Late in the day, we’ll see light snow develop. It will be enough to sit on some grassy and elevated surfaces, but less than an inch.
Next week, we'll see a small spike in temperatures Monday and Tuesday, before a wet middle of the week and an even colder finish.
Highs from next Thursday through the weekend will struggle to hit the freezing mark, and there will be some flakes around, as well.
