DETROIT - The breezes are keeping the air from settling and cooling, so it’s not as cool as you head out this Thursday morning.
Lows are mainly in the mid and upper 40s as we await the passage of a very weak cold front today. This front will bring a quick layer of clouds with it, but no rain and no big change in temps today. Look for highs again around 70 degrees with winds SW 5-15 mph with occasional stronger gusts as that front pushes though with very little impact. We should see mostly sunny skies other than a short period of late morning or midday clouds.
Friday looks to be another winner for Metro Detroit with a cooler start in the 30s to low 40s tomorrow, and our North Zone could see lows closer to freezing in spots. Friday sunshine will bring highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees with lighter winds SSE 5-10 mph.
Your outdoor weekend plans all across Pure Michigan will be good to go. Look for low and mid 70s Saturday with tons of sunshine and light winds S 5-10 mph. It should only be slightly cooler Sunday and that’s because clouds increase around Metro Detroit as we head into the afternoon hours Sunday.
We have a good chance for showers and scattered thunderstorms just after dinner time or even sunset on Sunday, lasting into the early hours of Monday. Cooler weather next week and we should see a few rain light chances then as well.
