Metro Detroit weather: Latest on severe storm chances

Small window for thunderstorms to develop

DETROIT – As rain exits Thursday afternoon, clouds will start to break, beginning in our West Zone.

There's a small window where thunderstorms might develop, but it's definitely not a slam dunk. If storms fire, they only have a few hours in which the severe ingredients will be in place. We're still in the slight risk category for severe weather through early evening.
