Metro Detroit weather: Near record again

Current record 64 degrees

A few very light showers fading out early this morning yet fog and low clouds are moving through the area.

That leaves roads a little damp but not too wet or slippery. We will see morning clouds give way to partly cloudy skies and highs around 62 degrees.  We may challenge the record which is 64 degrees on this date. Rain showers move in late tonight bringing showers and storms possible overnight.

Morning rain and isolated thundershowers early Friday and then a midday break in the action allowing temps to really warm. Metro Detroit will see mid to upper 60s flirting with 70 degrees perhaps ahead of a cold front. We have a decent chance for Severe Storms Friday evening and night as a cold front sweeps through. This could be a very active end of the work and school week.

We will cool things down considerably on Saturday and Sunday. Temps fall through the 40s Saturday with breezy conditions and a few showers. Sunday brings a few early flurries and temps falling through the 30s.  You can always take the weather with you with the Local4Casters app.
