Metro Detroit weather: Spring temperatures finally arrive, but with rain chances

Temperatures reach mid-70s on Wednesday

DETROIT – Finally, it’s the spring we signed up for!

Plus, we won't be as chilly Tuesday night. After the puffy cumulus clouds fade, we'll be mostly clear through dawn. Lows will drop to the 40s with a light southwest breeze.

Highs will continue their upward trend Wednesday. We'll hit the mid-70s by afternoon. That's also when rain chances will return. Not everyone will get wet, though, and it looks like most of the scattered showers will be north of Eight Mile Road.

An evening rain chance will return Thursday. Temperatures will stay in the low 70s. In fact, we have a chance of rain each day through the weekend, but none of them are impressive. A lot of us will get through the stretch completely dry.

Temperatures are still a question over the weekend. It depends on the final location of a front.

Right now, it looks like that front will be just south of us, but if it moves a small distance north, we might be even warmer than the upper 60s on Saturday and mid-70s on Sunday that are currently in the 10-day forecast.
