DETROIT – It will be partly cloudy Sunday night, with lows in the mid-50s to near 60 degrees (14-15 degrees Celsius).

It will be partly cloudy on Monday, with highs near 80 degrees (27 degrees Celsius). An approaching upper level disturbance may increase our afternoon cloud cover and, while some models try to generate a shower in the Thumb, right now I think the atmosphere will be too dry for rain. I’ll keep a close eye on this scenario and update you later today if new models runs change my thinking.

It will be partly cloudy on Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 80s (28-29 degrees Celsius), and lows Tuesday night in the mid-60s (18 degrees Celsius).

It will be partly cloudy on Wednesday, with a late afternoon shower or thunderstorm possible. Highs in the mid-80s (30 degrees Celsius).

Thunderstorms appear likely on Thursday, and then the weather pattern gets a little uncertain concerning our rain chances Friday and Saturday. It had better not rain on Saturday…it’s “Paul Gross Day” at the Farmington Farmer’s Market and, although I obviously can’t control the weather, it’s still a little embarrassing to have it rain on me!

Nice summer weather looks to return next Sunday.
