Morning temps in the low 60s across Metro Detroit

DETROIT - We are waking up Wednesday to much more comfortable weather after a big drop in humidity and temperatures as we say goodbye to the warm and muggy air.

Temps are in the 50s to low 60s as you head out under clear skies. Cloud cover will increase through the afternoon with temps settling in the mid to upper 70s and cooler breezes WNW 5-15 mph gusting over 20 mph at times. Those breezes and a minor disturbance in the skies may bring a few afternoon sprinkles, but don’t go canceling any plans as these showers will be quick, light, and may miss you all together.

Pleasant weather will be anchored over us through the weekend with increasing sun around SE Lower Michigan and Southern Ontario and temps just below normal or average. It looks like the mid to upper 70s for highs after 50s and some 40s for lows through the weekend. Thursday may bring a little more cloud cover here and there with tons of sun Friday through Monday.

Our next decent chance for showers comes late, late Monday into Tuesday of next week. This may be a bit of tropical moisture moving out of the Gulf of Mexico which will be active over the next several days. You can track sky conditions, cooling temps, and storm chances with our Local4Casters app.
