DETROIT - Mother nature keeps dealing the Detroit area a good hand of weather Monday and much of this work week.

Birds start chirping Monday morning under blue skies and temperatures near a cool 50 degrees. The afternoon becomes milder and remains bright with highs near 70 and an easterly breeze blowing 12 to 18 mph.

Monday night will be mainly clear with open-window sleeping weather and lows in the low 50s.

Gardeners and farms will have terrific opportunities for planting and building Tuesday through Thursday. Each day will have a delightful dose of sunshine. It will be warm and comfortable each day with highs in the low 70s.
