Near-record highs Saturday with more rain coming

Highs to reach close to 60 degrees as rain moves in Saturday evening

Hello 60s! There's a very good chance we will hit at least 60 degrees Saturday afternoon and Detroit will be very close to a record high. Skies will be partly cloudy with southwest winds 10-15 mph. The clouds will thicken a bit late afternoon into the evening. And we will likely see rain again after dinner. Rains overnight into Sunday will add at least another half inch of water and more melting. We could see an inch of rain in spots, especially down near the Ohio Border in Monroe County.

A cold front coming through Sunday will cool us back to January like weather. Rain in the morning will change to a light wintry mix on Sunday afternoon with temps near 40 degrees in the morning falling to the low and mid 30s by afternoon. Winds shift to the northwest 10-25 mph. Get ready for yet another change. We will have a few snow chances again by mid week heading into next weekend. Yes, winter will be back at least through the end of the month.
