Metro Detroit weather forecast: Nice mix of clouds and sunshine

Happy Monday! We head back to work and back to mild summertime temps and weather for most of the week ahead. Today will be very pleasant with a nice mix of sun and clouds become mostly sunny into the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s around Metro Detroit Monday and the humidity levels have come down after a frontal passage Sunday, so it’s comfortably warm. Winds are light today NNW 5-10 mph keeping the that humidity down all day.

Tuesday will be very similar to today with a minor increase in temps and humidity. We should see tons of sun tomorrow with lows near 60 degrees and highs trending in the low and mid 80s. The winds are still light SSE 5-10 mph making for an incredible day on the lakes if that’s in your plans. We will start to feel warmer tomorrow but the humidity will still be very bearable.

Wednesday is warmer still, and we may see a few rain and thundershowers with the peak heat of the afternoon. Most of the day is dry, although the humidity will be another notch, and mid and upper 80s will feel closer to 90 degrees. Again, shower and storm chances will begin in the late afternoon and evening as the air gets more and more unstable. Scattered rain and thunder will be part of your Thursday before we dry out and clear out a bit on Friday. You can track radar and stay ahead of the showers and storms with our Local4Casters app.
