Partly cloudy, cooler Saturday night in Metro Detroit

Lows fall to near 50

DETROIT - Saturday night will be partly cloudy and chillier with lows near 50 in Detroit and in the 40s in the rest of the region.

Mother's Day, which is Sunday, will be a good day for indoor activities. Families with tickets to the 1 p.m. Detroit Tigers game should pack their ponchos just to be safe. There is a chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. It will be warmer, with highs in the upper 70s.

The forecast remains wet early next week. Showers and storms are possible Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. A cooldown will arrive, too. Monday's daytime temperatures will reach the low 70s. Tuesday will be near 70. Wednesday will be in the 60s.
