DETROIT - Showers, a few thunderstorms and more chilly air return like a bad dream to Detroit and Southeast Michigan Wednesday.

Wednesday morning will start in the upper 30s. Afternoon highs remain in the upper 40s. Believe it or not, it will be so cold north and west of the Motor City that snow may mix with the morning rain. The wind will blow from the west at 10 to 20 mph.

Wednesday night lows will be in the middle 30s under mostly cloudy skies.

Thursday will have some scattered mid-day showers with temps near 50 degrees.

Friday and the weekend will have a quicker snap back to average temps. Friday will be partly sunny with temps in the upper 50s. Daytime temps will be in the 60s on Saturday and Sunday.
