DETROIT - A hot and steamy start to the week with highs today near 90 degrees feeling a bit warmer than that as humidity climbs too. Most of the rain is hanging around and north of the Thumb Region but an isolated shower is still possible around Metro Detroit. Winds will be dragging in the heat and humidity SW 7-15 mph with higher gusts.

We have been placed under a Slight Risk for Severe Storms Tuesday. We will see scattered morning rain and thundershowers and then a midday break. With that break, temps will heat up to near 90 degrees again as we anticipate an approaching cold front. Once that cold front swings closer tomorrow afternoon, we will see strong to possible severe storms firing up. So, keep your eyes to the skies! And, as always we will keep you ahead of danger on Local 4 News and

Labor Day weekend brings more heat and humidity and a few scattered showers.  Track radar and the warming neighborhood temps on the new ClickOnDetroit app (it's free!) in your app store.
