DETROIT - Happy Mothers' Day!

The Detroit Tigers take on the Minnesota Twins just after 1 p.m. ET at Comerica Park. Skies will be mostly sunny for the first pitch. Highs will be in the middle and upper 70s. After the seventh-inning stretch, scattered showers will form across Southeast Michigan, but much of the region will be dry.

Families with Mother's Day dinner plans will need to plan for more widespread showers and a few thunderstorms with temperatures near 70 degrees.

Wet weather remains possible Sunday night with lows near 60.

Monday will be warmer, but stormy weather remains in the forecast. Highs will be in the low 80s. A cold front has a chance of bringing storms with gusty winds, heavy rain, lightning and hail Tuesday. Highs will be near 80. Cooler air arrives behind the cold front Wednesday and Thursday with nighttime lows in the 40s and daytime highs in the 50s and 60s.
