Sunny and mild Friday for metro Detroit

Morning fog, highs near 75

DETROIT - Friday morning will have the return of patchy fog in Detroit and Southeast Michigan.

This will be the only natural impediment to morning commuters. By the afternoon, skies will be mostly sunny as it becomes milder. Highs will be near 75 with a wind becoming south 6 to 12 mph.

Friday evening will be fair and cool with temps in the 60s as 2013's Astronomy At The Beach commences inside Kensington Metropark in Milford. Wonderful constellations like Orion will be visible with no obstructions.

Friday night will be chillier with lows near 50 by Saturday morning. Jupiter and Venus will be visible in the pre-dawn sky near the quarter moon. Weather will be perfect for participants and spectators of the 2013 Run 4 The Rouge in Canton.

Skies will be mostly sunny Saturday afternoon with highs in the middle and upper 70s.

Clouds build Saturday night with rain developing by midnight and for Sunday morning.

The first half of Sunday will have showers. Supporters and participants of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund's (JDRF's) 2013 Walk To Cure Diabetes will need umbrellas and raincoats. Rain gear will be needed for Lions' tailgaters before the 1 p.m. game against the Chicago Bears at Ford Field. With clouds overhead, afternoon temps will be in the upper 60s.

Monday and Tuesday will be sunnier with highs near 70 and in the low 70s.
